SNOWY RIVER MICRO-STORY

No way I wanted to be a legend -

Something I would never have planned ,

I had heard  the old bloke was in trouble

So came down to lend him a hand.

My horse was a mean stubborn devil,

Hard to keep his mind on the job,

Sheer mad-headed chance that when he bolted

We turned up in front of the mob !

Those brumbies were so worn out and tuckered

They gave in without any fight ,

Truant colt trotting meekly behind them

Was back in his stable that night !

          ‘So ..

this is where it all began -

‘The Banjo’s ‘Snowy River Man’.  !
