Geez it's wet! Bloody rain!
Baby's et the soap again!
Wind's blown up - - Tent's blown down-
The dog's skedaddled back to town.
There's ants in the jam an' they've found the sugar tin
Can't hear ourselves think 'cos the frogs make so much din
Baby's burping bubbles,
soap don't agree with him-
Camp-ing, Camp-ing -------- Camp-ing!
Dad, Why did our mother cry when we drove away?
Aw - She was sorry to be missin' so much fun,
dear
Then why did she offer to work all week without pay?
Um - What's that? I'm sure you heard it wrong, dear.
Geez it's wet. Bloody rain
Damn and blast! We're bogged again.
Easy now - foot down slow
Mud 'n' muck from head to toe!
I went for a walk 'cos I had to find a tree
Got myself stung on the bu -- back of my knee
Make way everybody - the whole hive's chasin' me!
Camp-ing, Camp-ing --------- Camp-ing!
Dad, What did that truck-driver say on our C.B.?
Er, I reckon he was talkin' foreign lingo
An' Why won't my little brother sleep in the tent like me?
Poor kid thinks he might get swallered by a dingo.
Geez, it's wet. Bloody rain
Yukky - yuk. Baked beans again!
Fish won't bite. Mozzies will
Dad - the Baby's feeling ill!
Tho' we set up in the dark,
kids, everything is fine
There's something awful hard,
but, underneath my spine
Help! Me rubber li-lo's on the railway line!
Camp-ing, Camp-ing ----------- Camp-ing.
Dad, Why'd you say this short cut would save us lotsa time?
Well, I'm sure we'll see a sign post in a minute
But that's what you said yestiddy - Daddy,
are we lost?
Who? Me? Shhhh, girl. Shhh- - shove a Mintie in it!
Geez, it's wet. Mind the mud.
River's up. Gonna flood.
Of course the rescue boats will come!
Waa-aa-ah! I want me Mum!
I'm cold and wet and hungry,
an' missin' the T.V.
Son, don't tease your sister,
an' set that spider free
I dunno, this campin' aint what it used ter be -
Camp-ing, Camp-ing ------------ Camp-ing!
Dad, What is long and wriggly and keeps poking out it's tongue?
Don't make them kinda jokes boy, when we're campin'.
Well, it's gone inside yer gumboot, the one you've just put on,
Wow, Dad! How come yer said you was no good at dancin'?
Geez, it's wet. Bloody rain.
Who wants to play 'I Spy' again?
Bored to bits. Where's the sun?
When do we start havin' fun?
You said we'd study Nature,
but I don't understand
Why do you keep watchin' the next door caravan?
An' shouldn't that big lady wear more than just her tan?
Camp-ing, Camping ------------ Camp-ing!
Dad, Why does one small campfire send up so much smoke?
It keeps away the sand-flies, when you're campin'
How come there's a fire-truck an' half a dozen blokes?
What!! Run fer the river, quick, an' jump in!
Cripes, it's cold. Bloody snow.
It'd freeze the - - - Yeah we know!
Where's the roadway? Where's the car?
Keep on diggin' - Can't be far!
Now we're headin' home,
out comes the blazin' sun,
Twenty dollars each,
kids, if you can hold your tongue,
An' be sure to tell your mother you had loads and loads of fun-
Camp-ing, Camp-ing ----------- Camp-ing!
Dad, Why is Baby grinnin' like Auntie's garden gnome?
Grab it! That's our only map he's chompin'.
Turn 'im upside down, girl. We must find our way home!
-- Baby's really happy -- He loves campin'.
Cripes, it's cold. Sleet and fog.
Look out, Dad! There's our dog!
Oh, how cute --- Seven pups!
Gonna sue that vet --- Mega-bucks!
Next year can we go to a city cinema?
Or shoppin' in the mall where all the bright lights are?
What! And miss the good times - Well,
me and Baby are -
Goin' Campin', Campin ' ------ Campin' !!!!!
